The first noticeable fragrance notes - Top notes
Top notes form the top layer of the fragrance. These are the aromas that we feel first right after spraying the perfume. Their main purpose is to release the initial scent, creating a first impression. Then they smoothly move on to the next part of the fragrance. Top notes usually consist of lighter and smaller fragrance molecules - they evaporate quickly, lasting up to several minutes.
Intermediary between fragrances - Heart Notes
Also called middle notes. They are responsible for preserving some of the scent of the top notes, as well as introducing new fragrances. The heart notes also act as an intermediary for the base notes. they are combined with other aromas. Mainly fragrances of medium volatility are used here, incl. spicy, floral and green notes. The heart notes emerge as the top notes begin to fade away and remain visible throughout the life of the fragrance.
Decisive for the character of the whole fragrance - Base notes
Along with the heart notes, the base notes form the basis of the fragrance. They help to enhance the more light, less perceptible notes, while adding artistry and depth to the whole fragrance. Due to the fact that they are the basis of the perfume, the base notes are very persistent, rich and heavy. They work with the middle notes to create the overall fragrance. As the base notes penetrate the skin, their fragrance lasts the longest.
